minispec Contrast Agent Analyzer

the minispec Contrast Agent Analyzer

the minispec Contrast Agent Analyzer is a TD-NMR instrument that has long been used for Research & Development and Quality Control of MRI Contrast Agents. In particular, the minispec mq60, is unique in its design, because it provides the important 1.4 T magnetic field on a benchtop TD-NMR system.

the minispec Contrast Agent Analyzer is used to study the effect of pharmaceuticals known as "MRI contrast agents" on the NMR relaxation of water or fat in-vivo or in-vitro. The agents are used to enhance contrast in Magnetic Resonance images between tissues that otherwise would be difficult to differentiate, especially in the soft tissue of the central nervous system, liver, digestive system, lymphatic system, breast, cardiovascular system, and lung.

the minispec Contrast Agent Analyzer is a sophisticated NMR instrument, yet is simple to use. It can be fully automated with an autosampler, for unattended operation. Standard applications include measurement of Spin-Lattice relaxation time constant (T1), Spin-Spin Relaxation (T2), and relaxation in the rotating frame (T1Ρ). A comprehensive range of Proton NMR field/frequencies are available to match common clinical MRI systems. Probes for other popular nuclei are also available.
